 eProject Management System (ePM)

Swire Properties Ltd. owns a web based electronic platform, eProject Management System (ePM), with multiple language supports for portfolio development communication. It was launched on 3 Sept 2005 as a central communication and collaboration platform among project team members of project managers, architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, consultants, main contractors and sub-contractors.

The objectives

·     To achieve work efficiency by providing the team a real time communication platform for transmitting, sharing, and filing documents on a web site;

·     To enhance design review and approval processes

·     To enhance contract submissions and site reporting

·     To form a comprehensive document library for on-going reference 

The system consists 2 main parts; the first part has the following 3 sections with 17 modules in total for collaborations on an integrative basis:

2.     Task (TSK)

3.     Request For Information (RFI)

4.     Confirmation of Verbal Instruction (CVI)

5.     Contract Instruction Control (CIC)

6.     Contract Instruction (CTI)

7.     Progress Report (PGR)

8.     Contractor’s Site Memo (CSM)

9.     Contractor’s Submission (SUB)

10.  Subcontractor’s Submission (SCS)

11.  Site Inspection Team’s Instruction / Memo (SIM)

12.  Site Inspection Team’s Regular Report (SRR)

13.  Request For Inspection or Test (RIT)

14.  Tender Submission (TDS)

15.  Tender Enquiry (TDE)

16.  Drawings (DWG)

17.  Drawing Packages (DWP)

The second part is Drawing Library for the team to exchange drawings and specifications.
